(i) Research activity aiming at human cloning for reproductive purposes
(ii) Research activity intended to modify the genetic heritage of human beings which could make such changes heritable (Research relating to cancer treatment of the gonads can be financed)
(iii) Research activities intended to create human embryos solely for the purpose of research or for the purpose of stem cell procurement, including by means of somatic cell nuclear transfer.

If ethical issues are at stake, you shall:
· Describe the potential ethical aspects of the proposed research regarding its objectives, the methodology and the potential implications of its results;
· Justify the design of the research project from an ethical viewpoint;
· Explain how the ethical requirements set out in the work programme will be fulfilled;
· Indicate how the proposal meets the national legal and ethical requirements of the country where the research is planned to be performed;
· Indicate whether opinion and/or approval by any relevant authority at national level (such as the data protection authority, the clinical trials authority etc.) is required to the implementation of the project. Please note that all proper opinions and or approvals shall be provided to UniverSud Paris at the latest when UniverSud Paris publishes the list of selected candidates/proposals. Failure to provide said authorizations within this delay is deemed as not accepting the fellowship.
Specific procedural modalities for research activities involving human embryonic stem cells[2]
Assessment of the project:
- Advance in scientific knowledge in basic research;
- Increase in medical knowledge for the development of diagnostic, preventive or therapeutic methods to be applied to humans;
