• Project (40% - minimum 25/40)
- Quality of research, technology, including inter-and multidisciplinary aspects of the proposal
- Scientific approach and appropriate methodology
- Originality and innovation relative to the state of the art in the discipline,
- Suitability of the project
- Feasibility and credibility of the project, including the "work plan"
• The Candidate (40% - minimum 30/40)
- Research experience
- Research results including patents, publications, and optionnally teaching
- Independent thinking, leadership qualities, ability to transfer knowledge
- Suitability of the candidate for the project
- Candidate's personal qualities evaluated on the basis of referees to be contacted independently by UniverSud Paris, ability to work in teams
- Rationale for a commitment of 24 months
Applicants to Senior RBUCE-UP fellowships are expected to be active researchers and to have track record of significant achievements in the last 10 years.
Thus, in most fields, Senior RBUCE-UP candidates will be expected to demonstrate a record of achievements appropriate to the field and at least matching one or more of the following benchmarks:
- Normally 10 publications as senior author (or, in those fields where alphabetic order of authorship is the norm, joint author) in major international peer-reviewed multidisciplinary scientific journals, and/or in the leading international peer-reviewed journals of his/her respected field
- Normally 3 major research monographs of which at least one is translated into another language. This benchmark is relevant to research fields where publication of monographs is the norm.
Other alternative benchmarks that may be considered (individually or in combination) as indicative of an exceptional record and recognition in the last 10 years :
- Normally 5 granted patents
- Normally 10 invited presentations in well-established internationally organized conferences and advanced schools
- Normally 3 research expeditions led by the applicant
- Normally 3 well-established international conferences or congresses where the applicant was involved in their organization as a member of the steering and/or organizing committee
- International recognition through scientific prizes/awards or membership in well-regarded academies
• Proposed Impact (20% - minimum 15/20)
- Acquisition of new skills and knowledge
- Envisaged career development
- Potential for dissemination and / or knowledge transfer
- Contribution to the promotion / international recognition of the host laboratory
